LEAP Parkour Park.

I must admit the LEAP Parkour Park within the grounds of the Westminster Academy Centre looks immense on all levels! Although, I will admit it looks crowded compared to other Parkour parks in the UK I have seen. It’s good to have things close in another aspect, it means people of all levels can enjoy the park and build up as they progress skill wise. I understand the original plan was for it to be unveiled when the Parkour Generations rendezvous event was happening but the scheduled was delayed to a later date.

The downside to this park is the fact you have an admission fee to be able to use it. Sure this is to maintain and upkeep it, and staff it: this leads to it having running costs. I feel with other Parkour parks which are free to use and it defies the point of training on one unless it was indoor, like a gymnastic facility. To which we expect to pay for things which are indoor.

Nothing is free in today’s society and with movement, I think it should be free in general. Unless it is an indoor gymnastic facility. Again though, if it has mainly been funded by the company rather than the council I can see why they have to have costs to recoup some of that money to pay for it.

Below are some photos of the park.
